My love for Rottweilers began in 2017 when I brought home my first Rottweiler puppy. From the beginning, I was drawn to the breed’s loyalty, intelligence, affectionate nature, athleticism, and strong drive. As my appreciation for the breed grew, I began attending dog shows to observe Rottweilers firsthand and develop a deeper appreciation for their structure, movement, pigmentation, and overall presence. Those experiences helped shape my vision for breeding Rottweilers that embody the qualities I admire most in this exceptional breed. That passion became the foundation of Von Der Hing Rottweilers.
At Von Der Hing Rottweilers, we aim to produce exceptional Rottweilers with impressive presence, sound structure, confident temperaments, and unwavering devotion to their families. We believe a well-bred Rottweiler should combine power and athleticism with a stable, confident temperament and an affectionate nature—a dog that carries itself with confidence while remaining a devoted, dependable companion at home.
Our breeding program is founded on carefully selected Rottweilers from established European bloodlines. We value the generations of breeding behind our dogs and the knowledge and experience of the breeders who helped shape their pedigrees. We thoughtfully select our breeding females and sires based on pedigree, temperament, structure, health, and working ability. We carefully consider every pairing to preserve the qualities that define the breed while continually strengthening our program. We believe quality comes from informed decisions, careful selection, and a commitment to responsible breeding.
Health and temperament are at the heart of everything we do. Our breeding dogs undergo appropriate OFA and/or ADRK health evaluations and relevant genetic testing. These evaluations include hips, elbows, cardiac health, and applicable inherited conditions. We take a thoughtful approach to breeding decisions, prioritizing soundness, stable temperaments, and our dogs’ long-term well-being. We provide health-testing documentation and pedigrees to prospective families through our reservation process.
We raise our puppies in our home with daily handling, socialization, and early exposure to everyday sights, sounds, and experiences. We believe the foundation established during a puppy’s earliest weeks plays an important role in preparing them for life beyond our home. Our goal is to raise confident, well-socialized puppies with the potential to become devoted family companions, capable working partners, or dogs suited to appropriate sports and performance activities.
Every puppy leaves our program with a one-year written health guarantee covering specified genetic conditions, including hip and elbow dysplasia, cardiac conditions, and JLPP, as detailed in our puppy contract. We believe responsible breeding extends beyond the day a puppy goes home, and we want our families to feel informed and supported as they welcome their new companion.
Our dogs’ and puppies’ well-being always comes first. For this reason, kennel visits are by appointment only and require a refundable deposit. This allows us to provide a personalized experience for serious prospective families while maintaining a calm, controlled environment for our dogs and puppies.
